Serving both as archival records and interpretive tools, these early monographs enabled wider access to Sufi and Bhakti poetry across linguistic and cultural boundaries. This initial effort gradually evolved into a more structured and thematic publication series titled HU – The Sufi Way, conceived as a platform to explore the shared spiritual, philosophical, and cultural vocabularies of diverse traditions.
HU - The Sufi Way is Rumi Foundation’s engagement with publishing emerged organically from the intellectual and curatorial rigour of Jahan-e-Khusrau. The Foundation began its publication foray with monographs accompanying each festival edition, documenting the poetic repertoire presented on stage and providing translations of selected poems.



Issue #1
Amir Khusrau
Devoted to examining Amir Khusrau's life, historical context, and extraordinary body of work. The publication positions Khusrau not only as a poet and musician, but as a civilisational bridge—one who shaped the composite cultural ethos of the subcontinent.

Issue #2
Jalaluddin Rumi
Released to mark the 800th birth anniversary of the poet. This edition situates Rumi’s vision and lived experience within the context of his writings, tracing the evolution of his thought from personal transformation to universal embrace. It seeks to read Rumi not as a mystical abstraction, but as a poet deeply embedded in his time while speaking powerfully to the present.

Kashmir
Drawing from the Sufis and Rishis of the region, this issue reveals the seamless convergence of Shaivism and Sufism.

Punjab
An examination of the shared ethical and spiritual foundations of Sufi thought and Sikhism.

Issue #5
Awadh
An exploration of the deep resonance between Sufism and Krishna Bhakti, highlighting Sufi saints who wrote extensively on Krishna.
